NEWS | The 2011 Grammy Award winner for Best Metal Performance is…

I know it’s the Valentine’s Day today. But other than that, the more important thing among metalheads and metal-like rockers out there is about the Grammy’s yesterday night. Earlier last January, I updated you guys about the bands who are nominated for the said event and the category.

To review, we have two out of the 4 from The Big Four of Thrash Metal, Slayer and Megadeth; NWOBHM pioneer, Iron Maiden; NWOAHM pioneer and Groove Metal-ists, Lamb of God; and lastly, Nu Metal pioneer, Korn. All of these great bands were battling against each other for the Best Metal Performance this year, 2011. Finally, the battle came to an end.

So who on earth grabbed the award?

It’s none other than, Metal Gods, IRON MAIDEN.

It’s a sigh that Dave Mustaine and the rest of Megadeth lost the award, after being nominated for 9 times in the Grammy history. Oh well, I’m sure there will be a time that they can finally achieve the award. Anyway, I would like to congratulate Iron Maiden for winning last night’s Grammy’s. Also, I would like to thank everyone who keeps on reading this coverage. More Heavy Metal news soon!

  1. Iron maiden sucks cock, typicall award show

  2. Agreed Iron Maiden sucked back then – I never listened to them… they still suck and they won. As you said… typical award show. Korn is clearly more than Iron Maiden could ever be in my opinion.
