Hi all! I know how frustrated we were back when PSN went down, but the good thing is, it’s all coming back, one by one. First off, the PlayStation Network online service came back starting from the US, then the Europe and currently in Asia. This enables us play multiplayer games again. Later on, PlayStation Plus went back together with free goodies exclusively for PlayStation Plus users. Then yesterday, the free users extended their happiness with the Welcome Back program which started around 2AM, the time I was about to play Climax mode in Bayonetta and sleep. Good thing, the free games came in. However, Hongkong and Singapore-based PlayStation Network accounts are currently in the process of rebuilding the network. So, what I did is to use my US account and grabbed those free games. Take note that each region, US, EU or ASIA, do have differences in the free games.
The instruction in PlayStation Store is to “Get” the item “Welcome Back: Free PS3™ Game 1” and “Welcome Back: Free PS3™ Game 2” in the list so you can grab 2 out of the 5 free games for the PlayStation 3.
I decided to choose inFAMOUS and LittleBigPlanet. Thankfully, I haven’t bought these two games, or else I may not choose them but Dead Nation or WipeOut HD.
By the way, inFAMOUS 2 Demo is now available in PlayStation Store, so grab it now, it’s really an awesome game. I hope to get my hands on it. 🙂

I’ve been to the PlayStation Home location for LittleBigPlanet, and I admit, the area’s so fun. Tons of mini-games and the environment is just so lively, just like how you would expect since it is LBP. There is a game there where you will snap 5 various photos hidden somewhere in the area. And another thing is a mini-game where you can create your own personalized LBP wallpaper.
It is true that you can personalize the wallie in your own self but it is however limited. You are given 5 backgrounds and tons of stickers which will generally make it more stylized and unique. Stickers can be moved, rotated or enlarged. Isn’t;’t it cool? Create your own now! Just visit LittleBigPlanet’s place in PlayStation Home!

After PLAT-ing three games (Dante’s Inferno, Tekken 6, Resident Evil 5) consecutively in a week of October, I decided to visit PlayStation Home and check out if there are some new things going on there. Of course, I cannot forget my new items in my wardrobe, thanks to the games I have PLAT-ed. Upon my visit, I tried rearranging my studio to give visitors a new look.
So far, I have acquired these Tekken 6 Arcade Cabinets:
These Resident Evil 5 action figures (with Galaga mascot):
Resident Evil 5 treasure Chest:
Some Tekken 6 Health Bottle:
Those Namco Museum Cabinet you can see out there:
I feel so happy that my own studio looked very pleasing now, as compared before. I even changed the wallpaper and re-arranged the couches and sofas, but next time, I hope Sony will add more and more items and options. Nevertheless, I praise Sony for doing something like this. Take a closer look at it:
And we shouldn’t forget daydreaming in the PlayStation Home world ^^
I never tried going out of my own studio cause I am doing something regarding PSN and my older brother’s Facebook. Anyway, my visit in my PlayStation Home character feels like a vacation just before my birthday. For now, I have to wait for another game to buy. While waiting, I should finish Fatal Frame 4 on my PC (emulated using Dolphin) and the reboot of Medal of Honor. I also can’t wait for Joe’s Adventures. XOXO

Oops! If you thought that this is about the genius kiddo of cartoons you’ve watched in Nickelodeon, you’re wrong. There’s no genius here, except the guys of 2K Czech for making Mafia II my best game recently. Jimmy’s Vendetta DLC was fun. I have finished it in 2 weeks (sorry to say, I’m not always playing video games). So my thoughts about the game, you’re askin’? As I’ve said, it was fun, more serious and aggressive. Sadly, the game lacks story, or should I say it lacks cut-scenes. Story, there is. However, the game’s focus is on the mission itself. The DLC is about Jimmy, who successfully escaped from prison and will take revenge to those fellas that made him a pig. This means that you will be chasing all of those guys, beat them all up make Jimmy enjoy his life. You’ll be killing these guys area by area, as seen on the map, and aside from that, to earn money you will have to steal rare cars out there and sell them up. I have acquired $30000+ bucks and believe me, you don’t need that kind of money. You just have to watch out for your health and your ammos. Grenades are useful in some situations. But you don’t have a choice. These “car-stealing” mini missions are required to beat so you can move to the next “real” missions and make a progress to your gang chases. Here are some photos I have captured upon finishing the game.
Jimmy: You see the way I eat?
Jimmy: It’s more like a vacation…
Jimmy: no thanks, I’m full…
Jimmy: want me to jump? Sorry but in this game you can’t jump O.O
Jimmy: I told ‘ya I wasn’t the one who stole your Ray Ban glasses!
Completion for Stealing Car (when was stealing cars became an achievement???)
Jimmy: Alright, thanks for your Wedding invitation. I’ll definitely come. Prepare a lot of food and some… chicas’
Jimmy: So there’s that Big Boss. I’m gonna suck his stomach!
There ya’ go!
Finally, finished Jimmy’s Vendetta DLC. Next, we’re going to wait for a little while. The next DLC will be named Joe’s Adventures. I’m so looking forward to it. I hope Joe Barbaro wasn’t dead.

It’s almost 2 weeks since the release of psgroove’s USB modchip, or what we call the primary Jailbreak of the PlayStation 3 console system. Many gamers became excited and at the same time, many PlayStation fan boys started to get pissed. I wasn’t one of those who got excited, not also a fan boy, but I just don’t support the jailbreak. I enjoy every single features of the PS3, what it is on its release, and what it is right now. Sony is doing well with their business of the new PlayStation Move. They didn’t let our folks, the black hat hackers, mess up our PS3s. Just 2 days ago, they released a new firmware, version 3.42, just to permanently (hopefully) block the USB modchip. But my theory is that, as stated on some site I’ve seen a couple of days ago, the USB chip is able to update itself, so that means every time Sony releases a new firmware to terminate the exploit, the dev team of the exploit will do the same, that is, to bypass or hack the new firmware. Well, that is just my theory. I hope it will only be a theory and will never ever be in reality coz’ if that happens, then expect brutality from Sony, like mandatory PlayStation Plus for every user and you will definitely say goodbye to the free PlayStation Network.
On the other hand, while I’m looking for the DLC for Mafia II (cracked ones), I’ve seen this site where you can download BD-ripped jailbreak files for the PS3. I have seen GTA: Episodes from Liberty City (8.0GB), Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (6.01GB), Just Cause 2 (3.63GB) and even the EPIC Mafia II (6.53GB). That was quick and sad. Those Jailbreak files are all provided by this cracking team called DUPLEX. I hope Sony will make an action about this thing. Hey guys from Sony, please help us gamers, we have a situation here! ^_^ Think about the numbers… 3GB…6GB…8GB!!!
Do you detest the jailbreak?
Download the firmware 3.42 now!

Saturday night was awesome. I was just playing my newly-bought Dante’s Inferno on my PlayStation 3 game console, while downloading some “good” demo games from the PlayStation Store. I downloaded the demo of Mafia II and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Oh My Gosh! I didn’t know there was a game like Uncharted! The graphics effects are very good! It’s like what Just Cause 2 is like, but I think Uncharted is better. hmm… This makes that game to be added to my wish list O.O
While the Uncharted demo made me like an owl staring at something that is really tantalizing, the Mafia 2 does quite the same. It wasn’t in the best graphics, but it performs so well. In the game, you can interact with ALMOST ALL the things around you. There, you can open the fridge, take some food and eat, check the calendar, collect some PlayBoy posters, what else? The vintage cars? OMG! Mafia II gave me some idea of how would these vintage cars looks like. Sorry to some fans, it’s just that it’s my first time playing a game from the Mafia series. The first Mafia in the PlayStation 2 just didn’t gave me the “love-at-first-sight” effect. Anyway, i’m so loving almost all the new games.
Right now, I’m playing Dante’s Inferno. These days might be very hectic; Final exams, then submission of the documents for my thesis, then there’s a seminar-thingy. But no matter what the level of that hectic-ness is, I can and WILL still play the games I want, anytime and anywhere.
An update from the US PlayStation Network. Proves that the Asian/HK PSN is slow in terms of updates, which sucks.
Sunday morning, I continued playing Dante’s Inferno while downloading another demo named Brutal Legend. Yes! The game where Heavy Metal rules! The game where Jack Black is a true hero! The game that made Ozzy Osbourne appear on video games the second time! The game that made “graphics-should-be-superb” gamers disappointed and made Heavy Metal fans-slash-gamers outrageous! The game that kicked out Rock Band and Guitar Hero for being too “over-produced” and proved these rhythm games are “sell-outs”! In short, the game that I want to play ^_^.
Back in Dante’s Inferno, I’ve already passed Acheron (The earliest passage through Hell), Limbo and Lust, after defeating each of its area’s boss. It was awesome, for real. Quite hard, though I only picked “Zealot” which is the Normal difficulty. The reason why I did not picked Hellish as my difficulty is that, well, I heard from the forums that it was hard, and… yeah, it’s hard. Zealot did a fair challenge. Dante can die, but Mana is forever infinite. This means that, I can use the Holy Cross thousands and thousands of times, ’til my DualShock 3 get broke. My last save point was after defeating Marc Anthony (and Mom just called right now) and Cleopatra. It was real hard to defeat these two. Finally i’m on my way to Gluttony, where the gluttons, or those people who are addicted to food, drugs, alcohol, resides in hell. In the Animated Epic movie (yes, I watched it this morning), Dante fought an evil worm-like monster called Cerberus, but I’m not so sure about the game if it is still the boss in Gluttony. But most probably, it is. The next weekend maybe my opportunity to continue the game. Anyway, it’s time for me to go to bed. I’ve got some things and activities to do tomorrow. Training in the morning, then a seminar (titled: “Truth about Hackers”) later on, and I’ll be the spokesperson, which sucks T__T
Goodnight everyone! Don’t forget our motto: “Born to Play”
